Auto Key Clicker for Games – Free Tool for Windows

Key Clicker is a small, free Windows app that presses any keyboard key repeatedly at the interval you set. Tap a hotkey to start and stop from anywhere—even inside a full-screen game.

What It Does

Key Clicker automates keyboard input for situations where you'd otherwise hold down a key for hours. It fires repeated key presses (or holds a key down continuously) on a schedule you control, toggled by a global hotkey that works even when the app is minimized or hidden behind a game.

The tool covers AFK farming in idle and incremental games, repetitive UI testing, long data-entry sequences, and keeping your PC awake during slow downloads. It sends standard keyboard events through Windows—no hooks, no hidden processes, no tray daemon that stays running after you close the window.

Why It Works in Games

Key Clicker uses SendInput plus hardware scan codes—the same low-level input method that games and remote sessions trust. Older automation tools quietly get dropped; this one lands reliably.

Optional jitter (random ±offset) breaks up the metronome rhythm, so the pattern looks less mechanical. Add a small jitter window if the game's logic might detect perfectly timed input.

Before using it in an online game, check the game's terms of service. Single-player and idle titles generally allow input automation. Games with kernel-level anti-cheat may forbid it—the app makes no attempt to hide, so use it responsibly.

How to Set Up for a Game

  1. Download and unzip. The portable app works on Windows 10 and 11. Unzip the folder anywhere—Documents, Desktop, USB stick—and launch the executable. No install, no admin prompt.
  2. Pick your key. Click Set Key and press the button you want repeated (letter, digit, Space, Enter, arrow, function key—any key works).
  3. Set the interval. Enter milliseconds between presses (5 ms to 10 minutes). For a fast idle-game clicker, try 100–500 ms. For an anti-idle heartbeat during uploads, try 30–60 seconds.
  4. Choose Tap or Hold. Tap fires rapid presses. Hold keeps the key pressed down continuously, as if the physical key were stuck.
  5. Start with F6. Press F6 (or rebind to F1–F12) from any window to toggle clicking on and off. The global hotkey works even in full-screen games and remote desktops.

What You Get

One portable executable, under 10 MB, no dependencies. Runs on any Windows machine from the last ten years.

Free forever. No trial, no Pro tier, no locked buttons. No ads, no telemetry, no background updater. MIT licensed.

Dark single-window UI with no tabs or settings trees. A session counter shows how many presses have fired since you hit Start—useful when you want to stop at a round number.

Close the window, the process ends. Nothing stays in the system tray or runs after you quit.

Common Questions

Does it need installation?

No. Unzip and run. To remove it, delete the folder.

Does it work on Windows 11?

Yes. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Same behavior on both.

Is it safe?

Yes. It only sends standard keyboard events—the same input a physical keyboard produces. It does not read other processes, hook games, or access files outside its folder.

Can I use it on Mac or Linux?

Key Clicker is Windows only.

What if the game bans automation tools?

Check the game's rules first. The app does not hide what it is doing, so use it responsibly inside each title's terms of service.
